About the Webmaster
My name is Chris Pursel and I honorably served with the 82nd Signal Battalion from December 1994 until October 2001. I had a great career there, learning from the most technically and tactically minded Soldiers, NCO's and Officers in the 82nd Airborne Division and United States Army before PCS'ing to another assignment. Today, I still support our servicemembers with a career in the defense industry but stood up and maintain this website alongside two groups for 82nd Signal Battalion veterans on both Facebook and LinkedIn (please see the Links of Interest page) as a way to give back to our troopers and also provide locations where information could easily be shared amongst us all and friends found once again. I hope that you enjoy visiting this website and/or the two groups and find their purpose valuable. Please forgive me for the "mess" as much of this is still coming together.
